Frost Top (Under Counter).
CED produce a range of energy efficient Gn sized ‘drop in’ frost tops, designed to fit under servery counter worktops providing a frosted display surface for buffet presentation.

Installation Method & Operation.
A. The refrigerated frost top is positioned to the underside of a worktop surface.
B. Worktop can be solid surface/ non porous engineered stone/ sealed granite etc.
(a maximum of 20 mm thick).
C. Frost top is located by support brackets supplied with upward adjustment screws ensuring full contact between frost top and work surface is achieved.
D. The support brackets need to be fixed to a perimeter s/steel box section frame supplied by others (The frame carries the frost top weight & is positioned under the worktop material).
E. Thermal transfer compound is applied via a comb (both supplied) to frost top surface before positioning underneath the worktop, allowing evenly dissipated cold transfer through the worktop surface.

Recommended Drip Catchment Detail: Worktop Surface.
To help contain defrosted condensate water when the unit is in standby & frost melts, the following optional worktop details are recommended:

F. Around the worktop perimeter where frost top is positioned below, it is recommended to form a surface drip groove in the material or :
G. Fit a separate worktop piece, the same shape as the frost top below, allowing 5mm silcone seal between this & the main worktop.

Alternatively the work surface can be left as a wipe down area.

Other Features.
The display operates between -8 and -10 deg C. Please ensure the worktop material can perform at this temperature.
The frost top is available in 2/1 Gn, 3/1 Gn, 4/1 Gn, 5/1 Gn & 6/1 Gn sizes.
Airflow options allow for a smooth counter frontage by diverting refrigeration ventilation.

  • Locates beneath worktop surfaces of solid surface/ non porous engineered stone/ sealed granite etc. (max. 20 mm thick).
  • Suitable for use in freestanding, wall sited or island servery counters.
  • Refrigeration condensing unit is housed in an underslung self contained cradle.
  • Ideal for buffet display of drinks, dessert portions, yoghurt in pots, salads, garnishes & fillings.
  • Designed for contact cooling, to slow the rate of pre-chilled displayed food temperature as it warms back up to the ambient temperature.
  • Forms a frosted worktop surface 30-45 minutes from operating, depending on worktop thickness.
  • Frost top surface operates between -10°C to -12°C (max 25°C ambient 55% relative humidity).
  • Features remote digital control panel mounted in fascia plate, for fitting in valance panel.
  • Panel is supplied with 2m lead for connection to a single 13 Amp socket (13A 230V 50 Hz).
  • No requirement is needed for site drainage.
  • Features ‘tamper proof’ temperature control facility.
  • 24-hour operation as standard.
  • Frost top locates under worktop by support brackets supplied, to ensure full contact between frost top and work surface.
  • A perimeter s/steel box section frame is also required (by others) – frame carries the frost top weight & is positioned under the worktop material.
  • Standard refrigeration airflow – Air in to customer side/ air out to operator side.
