The soup station dry heat bain marie & ambient storage cupboard forms part of the Glide range of mobile dining carts – a choice of cold, hot & ambient commercial catering carts that combine to form a food severy counter solution as unique as your requirements !

Glide Soup Station.
The Glide soup station is a mobile bain marie (dry heat) & ambient storage cupboard with full front/ side fascia panels, a reversible s/steel bain marie insert & a cupboard with two tiers of wire rack shelving below.

Each shelf is adjustable in height and fully removable for cleaning. The operator side rear s/steel sliding doors are also removable. The soup station features 2 x 4.5 litre containers with notched lids (for ladles) and a removable drip tray section. The containers can be used to hold gravy, custard etc. by adjusting the thermostat control.

The Soup Station is available as 2-1Gn (825mm) long x 700mm (D), 900mm (H) & has locking heavy duty castors.

Reversible Top.
The soup station has a reversible bain marie insert within a s/steel worktop. Standard insert position is Assisted Service = 2x 4.5 lt. soup pots to front, 1x drip tray to rear. Optional insert position is Self Help = 1x drip tray to front, 2x 4.5 lt. soup pots to rear. (The insert lifts out for reversing to a self help position & allows simple repositioning of the suspended hairpin heating element under).

Ambient Storage Cupboard. The ambient storage cupboard underneath has 2 tier adjustable internal grid shelves, both are removable for cleaning. The rear sliding s/steel cupboard doors are also removable for access. The front/side base panels are in leathergrain plastisol steel, colour merlin grey (BS 18B25), The unit has lockable castors and control panel to operator side. It is supplied with a 3m lead and a 13A UK plug top (0.75 Kw).

The soup station features thermostatic control & a neon mains power on/off switch.

Finishes & Options. Base and outer end panels in plastisol steel, colour merlin grey. The bain marie worktop is made from 304 gd s/steel & the rear facing doors & surfaces are in 430gd.s/steel. The soup station can be customised with many accessories such as tray slides, tray rails, colour finishes and low height versions for junior/ primary age use.

Wall Sited. A wall sited version of the Soup Station is also available, for use in alcoves, recesses or back to back as island units, c/w front facing sliding merlin grey plastisol steel finish doors/ sides, low heights, & colour finishes for the base cupboard front ambient sliding doors & sides. (See separate model GWSSUP2).

Height Options. Low Height Model (Glide Junior) – in 850mm or 800mm high options for junior/ primary use.

Folding Steel Solid or Tubular Tray Slides – Tray slides add 40mm to unit depth and are set at the worktop height – 55mm.

Colour Finishes To Front/ Side Panels – 11 alternative choices of durable steel, colour & wood effect finishes for front/ side panels, to compliment other selected models in the servery colour scheme.

Glide Range: Electrical Connections.

Most Glide mobile units are operated by 13A plug top connected to a dedicated single socket outlet (SSO) (13A), unless its’ power supply exceeds 13A.
If connected to a double socket outlet, care must be taken not to exceed the circuit capacity.

Glide Range: Electrical Trailing Lead Protection.

CED recommend the use of proprietary cable covers to protect overground trailing leads, to reduce trip hazards, limit accidental electrical partial plug disconnection and to keep wire safe from impact damage, as damaged cable wire can cause an electrical fault.

‘Route cables to minimise tripping hazards or potential mechanical damage, and in a position that allows them to be safely installed and removed. Give particular care to the position of cable connections. You can also use cable ramps or similar to protect cables running overground across route ways to help avoid them becoming tripping hazards’
